I graduated from Cornell University with a Mechanical Engineering degree and started working at Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation in Connecticut. The transition from academic life to the working world took a little getting used to but now I am enjoying the extra time I have after work. Building this website has been a good way to learn more about web design and what goes on behind the scenes. I’ve been teaching myself ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, MySQL, MS SQL Server, VB.NET, C, C#, C++, Flash 8, and Flex 2.0 in order to make database driven websites and user interfaces so visitors can enjoy interactive webpages. It’s kind of hard learning all of this on your own through website tutorials or through books especially with a demanding full-time job. But so far, in the last year, I feel that I’ve picked up a tremendous amount.
Other things that I like to do in my spare time include, biking, golfing, skiing, playing tennis, playing the guitar, photography, and exploring new places.
